What is Giclée?

Giclée (pronounced "zhee-clay") reproductions were originally developed in 1989 as a plateless method of fine art printing. The word Giclée is French for "to spray " or "to sputter". The images are scanned and digitally stored in a computer and sent directly to a high resolution, inkjet printer.

Unlike other fine art printing methods, each image is sent to the inkjet printer individually. Our Giclée prints are produced on an archival, acid-free watercolor print paper using special archival inks developed to replicate the quality of watercolor art using the Giclée process.

Giclée Print Sizes & Prices

Our prints are priced by size. Prices include acid-free neutral-colored mats.  Unframed prints come with backers and clear wrap. All matted prints are individually signed by the artist.  Custom matting and framing may be available for an additional charge.

Notecard Prices

Notecards are individually produced by the Giclée process.  Folded, the cards measure about 6-7/8" x 5", and come with matching envelopes.  Prices depend on the quantity ordered.

Shipping or Pick-up

You can expect delivery of your order within 3 weeks from receipt of order. Out of town customers will have their order shipped via UPS. Customers in the Monterey Peninsula area may pick up their completed order at the artist's studio in Monterey.

Shipping charges are based on actual UPS cost plus a nominal charge for packing.
